15:37 In those days the Lord prompted King Rezin of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah to attack Judah.³

¹tn Heb “began to cut off Israel.”

²tn Heb “Hazael struck them down in all the territory of Israel, from the Jordan on the east.” In the Hebrew text the phrase “from the Jordan on the east” begins v. 33.

³tn Heb “the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin…and Pekahiah….”
