7:11 For see what this very thing, this sadness 1  as God intended, has produced in you: what eagerness, what defense of yourselves, 2  what indignation, 3  what alarm, what longing, what deep concern, 4  what punishment! 5  In everything you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

2 Corinthians 12:11

12:11 I have become a fool. You yourselves forced me to do it, for I should have been commended by you. For I lack nothing in comparison 6  to those “super-apostles,” even though I am nothing.

1 tn Grk “this very thing, to be grieved.”

2 tn The words “of yourselves” are not in the Greek text but are implied.

3 sn What indignation refers to the Corinthians’ indignation at the offender.

4 tn Or “what zeal.”

5 sn That is, punishment for the offender.

6 tn Or “I am in no way inferior.”
