9:6 I did not believe these things until I came and saw them with my own eyes. Indeed, I didn’t hear even half the story!¹ Your wisdom surpasses what was reported to me.

2 Chronicles 20:2

Context
20:2 Messengers² arrived and reported to Jehoshaphat, “A huge army is attacking you from the other side of the Dead Sea,³ from the direction of Edom.⁴ Look, they are in Hazezon Tamar (that is, En Gedi).”

2 Chronicles 34:28

Context
34:28 ‘Therefore I will allow you to die and be buried in peace.⁵ You will not have to witness all the disaster I will bring on this place and its residents.’”’” Then they reported back to the king.

¹tn Heb “the half was not told to me.”

²tn Heb “they”; the implied referent (messengers) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

³tn Heb “the Sea”; in context (“from the direction of Edom”) this must refer to the Dead Sea, which has been specified in the translation for clarity (cf. NEB, NLT).

⁴tc Most Hebrew mss read “from Aram” (i.e., Syria), but this must be a corruption of “Edom,” which is the reading of the LXX and Vulgate.

⁵tn Heb “Therefore, behold, I am gathering you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your tomb in peace.”

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
