6:25 then listen from heaven, forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them back to the land you gave to them and their ancestors. 1

28:19 The Lord humiliated 2  Judah because of King Ahaz of Israel, 3  for he encouraged Judah to sin and was very 4  unfaithful to the Lord.

2 Chronicles 29:23

Context
29:23 Finally they brought the goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly, and they placed their hands on them.

1 tn Heb “fathers” (also in vv. 31, 38).

2 tn Or “subdued.”

3 sn That is, “of Judah.” Frequently in 2 Chronicles “Israel” is substituted for “Judah.”

4 tn The infinitive absolute precedes the finite verbal form to emphasize the degree of Ahaz’s unfaithfulness.
