Context5:9 The poles were so long their ends extending out from the ark were visible from in front of the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen from beyond that point. 1 They have remained there to this very day.
2 Chronicles 24:18
Context24:18 They abandoned the temple of the Lord God of their ancestors, 2 and worshiped 3 the Asherah poles and idols. Because of this sinful activity, God was angry with Judah and Jerusalem.

In 1 Kgs 22:19 these heavenly bodies are pictured as members of the Lord’s royal court or assembly, but many other texts view them as the illegitimate objects of pagan and Israelite worship.
