2 Chronicles 3:1

Context
The Building of the Temple

3:1 Solomon began building the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem 1  on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. This was the place that David prepared at the threshing floor of Ornan 2  the Jebusite.

2 Chronicles 6:41

Context
6:41 Now ascend, O Lord God, to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength! May your priests, O Lord God, experience your deliverance! 3  May your loyal followers rejoice in the prosperity you give! 4 

2 Chronicles 8:16

8:16 All the work ordered by Solomon was completed, from the day the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid until it was finished; the Lord’s temple was completed.

Context
23:6 No one must enter the Lord’s temple except the priests and Levites who are on duty. They may enter because they are ceremonially pure. All the others should carry out their assigned service to the Lord.

26:16 But once he became powerful, his pride destroyed him. 18  He disobeyed 19  the Lord his God. He entered the Lord’s temple to offer incense on the incense altar.

28:13 They said to them, “Don’t bring those captives here! Are you planning on making us even more sinful and guilty before the Lord? 20  Our guilt is already great and the Lord is very angry at Israel.” 21

29:6 For our fathers were unfaithful; they did what is evil in the sight of 22  the Lord our God and abandoned him! They turned 23  away from the Lord’s dwelling place and rejected him. 24 

2 Chronicles 29:15-16

Context

29:15 They assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves. Then they went in to purify the Lord’s temple, just as the king had ordered, in accordance with the word 25  of the Lord. 29:16 The priests then entered the Lord’s temple to purify it; they brought out to the courtyard of the Lord’s temple every ceremonially unclean thing they discovered inside. 26  The Levites took them out to the Kidron Valley.

29:31 Hezekiah said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves 27  to the Lord. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings 28  to the Lord’s temple.” So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and whoever desired to do so 29  brought burnt sacrifices.

2 Chronicles 30:1

Hezekiah Observes the Passover

30:1 Hezekiah sent messages throughout Israel and Judah; he even wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, summoning them to come to the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem 30  and observe a Passover celebration for the Lord God of Israel.

30:8 Now, don’t be stubborn 31  like your fathers! Submit 32  to the Lord and come to his sanctuary which he has permanently consecrated. Serve the Lord your God so that he might relent from his raging anger. 33 

2 Chronicles 30:22

Context
30:22 Hezekiah expressed his appreciation to all the Levites, 34  who demonstrated great skill in serving the Lord. 35  They feasted for the seven days of the festival, 36  and were making peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord God of their ancestors.

2 Chronicles 33:15-16

Context

33:15 He removed the foreign gods and images from the Lord’s temple and all the altars he had built on the hill of the Lord’s temple and in Jerusalem; he threw them outside the city. 33:16 He erected the altar of the Lord and offered on it peace offerings and thank offerings. He told the people of 37  Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel.

34:14 When they took out the silver that had been brought to the Lord’s temple, Hilkiah the priest found the law scroll the Lord had given to Moses.

35:16 So all the preparations for the Lord’s service were made that day, as the Passover was observed and the burnt sacrifices were offered on the altar of the Lord, as prescribed by King Josiah.
