28:16 At that time King Ahaz asked the king¹ of Assyria for help.

2 Chronicles 28:20-21

Context
28:20 King Tiglath-pileser² of Assyria came, but he gave him more trouble than support.³ 28:21 Ahaz gathered riches⁴ from the Lord’s temple, the royal palace, and the officials and gave them to the king of Assyria, but that did not help.

¹tc Most Hebrew mss read the plural, “kings,” but one Hebrew ms, the LXX and Vulgate read the singular “king.” Note the singular in v. 20.

²tn Heb “Tilgath-pilneser,” a variant spelling of Tiglath-pileser.

³tn Heb “and he caused him distress and did not strengthen him.”

⁴tn Heb “divided up,” but some read חִלֵּץ (khillets, “despoiled”).

similar	search for verses that contains words that similar in spelling to the search words.	"fish" will search verses that contain words which has similar spelling with fish. The result: "dish",etc
displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
