2 Chronicles 26:23

Context
26:23 Uzziah passed away 1  and was buried near his ancestors 2  in a cemetery 3  belonging to the kings. (This was because he had a skin disease.) 4  His son Jotham replaced him as king.

2 Chronicles 28:27

Context
28:27 Ahaz passed away 5  and was buried in the City of David; 6  they did not bring him to the tombs of the kings of Israel. His son Hezekiah replaced him as king.

2 Chronicles 32:33

Context
32:33 Hezekiah passed away 7  and was buried on the ascent of the tombs of the descendants of David. All the people of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem buried him with great honor. 8  His son Manasseh replaced him as king.

2 Chronicles 36:8

Context

36:8 The rest of the events of Jehoiakim’s reign, including the horrible sins he committed and his shortcomings, are recorded in the Scroll of the Kings of Israel and Judah. 9  His son Jehoiachin replaced him as king.

6 sn The phrase the City of David refers here to the fortress of Zion in Jerusalem, not to Bethlehem. See 2 Sam 5:7.

8 tn Heb “and honor they did to him in his death, all Judah and the residents of Jerusalem.”

9 tn Heb “As for the rest of the events of Jehoiakim, and his horrible deeds which he did and that which was found against him, look, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Israel and Judah.”
