2 Chronicles 26:19
Context26:19 Uzziah, who had an incense censer in his hand, became angry. While he was ranting and raving 1 at the priests, a skin disease 2 appeared on his forehead right there in front of the priests in the Lord’s temple near the incense altar.
2 Chronicles 29:34
Context29:34 But there were not enough priests to skin all the animals, 3 so their brothers, the Levites, helped them until the work was finished and the priests could consecrate themselves. (The Levites had been more conscientious about consecrating themselves than the priests.) 4
2 Chronicles 28:15
Context28:15 Men were assigned to take the prisoners and find clothes among the plunder for those who were naked. 5 So they clothed them, supplied them with sandals, gave them food and drink, and provided them with oil to rub on their skin. 6 They put the ones who couldn’t walk on donkeys. 7 They brought them back to their brothers at Jericho, 8 the city of the date palm trees, and then returned to Samaria.
1 tn Heb “angry.”
2 tn Traditionally “leprosy,” but this was probably a skin disorder of some type, not leprosy (technically known today as Hansen’s disease). See 2 Kgs 5:1.
3 tn Heb “the burnt sacrifices.”
4 tn Heb “for the Levites were more pure of heart to consecrate themselves than the priests.”
5 tn Heb “and the men who were designated by names arose and took the captives and all their naked ones they clothed from the loot.”
6 tn Heb “and poured oil on them.”
7 tn Heb “and they led them on donkeys, with respect to everyone stumbling.”
