2 Chronicles 26:10

Context
26:10 He built towers in the desert and dug many cisterns, for he owned many herds in the lowlands 1  and on the plain. He had workers in the fields and vineyards in the hills and in Carmel, 2  for he loved agriculture. 3

Context

31:3 The king contributed 4  some of what he owned for burnt sacrifices, including the morning and evening burnt sacrifices and the burnt sacrifices made on Sabbaths, new moon festivals, and at other appointed times prescribed 5  in the law of the Lord.

1 tn Heb “Shephelah.”

2 tn Heb “workers and vinedressers in the hills and in Carmel.” The words “he had” are supplied in the translation for stylistic reasons.

3 tn Heb “for a lover of the ground he [was].”

4 tn Heb “the portion of the king [was].”

5 tn Heb “as written.”
