25:12 The men 1  of Judah captured 10,000 men alive. They took them to the top of a cliff and threw them over. 2  All the captives 3  fell to their death. 4

28:5 The Lord his God handed him over to the king of Syria. The Syrians 5  defeated him and deported many captives to Damascus. 6  He was also handed over to the king of Israel, who thoroughly defeated him. 7

28:13 They said to them, “Don’t bring those captives here! Are you planning on making us even more sinful and guilty before the Lord? 8  Our guilt is already great and the Lord is very angry at Israel.” 9
