Context
22:8 While Jehu was dishing out punishment to Ahab’s family, he discovered the officials of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah’s relatives who were serving Ahaziah and killed them.

2 Chronicles 30:24

Context
30:24 King Hezekiah of Judah supplied 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep 1  for the assembly, while the officials supplied them 2  with 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. Many priests consecrated themselves.

2 Chronicles 32:9

Context

32:9 Afterward King Sennacherib of Assyria, while attacking Lachish with all his military might, sent his messengers 3  to Jerusalem. The message was for King Hezekiah of Judah and all the people of 4  Judah who were in Jerusalem. It read:

1 tn The Hebrew term צֹאן (tson, translated “sheep” twice in this verse) denotes smaller livestock in general; depending on context it can refer to sheep only or goats only, but their is nothing in the immediate context here to specify one or the other.

2 tn Heb “the assembly.” The pronoun “them” has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.

3 tn Heb “servants.”

4 tn Heb “all Judah.” The words “the people of” are supplied in the translation for clarity. The Hebrew text uses the name “Judah” here by metonymy for the people of Judah.
