2 Chronicles 22:11
Context22:11 So Jehoshabeath, 1 the daughter of King Jehoram, 2 took Ahaziah’s son Joash and sneaked him away 3 from the rest of the royal descendants who were to be executed. She hid him and his nurse in the room where the bed covers were stored. So Jehoshabeath the daughter of King Jehoram, wife of Jehoiada the priest and sister of Ahaziah, hid him from Athaliah so she could not execute him.
2 Chronicles 28:15
Context28:15 Men were assigned to take the prisoners and find clothes among the plunder for those who were naked. 4 So they clothed them, supplied them with sandals, gave them food and drink, and provided them with oil to rub on their skin. 5 They put the ones who couldn’t walk on donkeys. 6 They brought them back to their brothers at Jericho, 7 the city of the date palm trees, and then returned to Samaria.
1 sn Jehoshabeath is a variant spelling of the name Jehosheba (2 Kgs 11:2).
2 tn Heb “the king”; the referent (King Jehoram, see later in this verse) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
3 tn Heb “stole.”
4 tn Heb “and the men who were designated by names arose and took the captives and all their naked ones they clothed from the loot.”
5 tn Heb “and poured oil on them.”
6 tn Heb “and they led them on donkeys, with respect to everyone stumbling.”
