16:3 “I want to make a treaty with you, like the one our fathers made. 1  See, I have sent you silver and gold. Break your treaty with King Baasha of Israel, so he will retreat from my land.” 2 

2 Chronicles 22:4

22:4 He did evil in the sight of 3  the Lord like Ahab’s dynasty because, after his father’s death, they 4  gave him advice that led to his destruction.

2 Chronicles 29:6

29:6 For our fathers were unfaithful; they did what is evil in the sight of 5  the Lord our God and abandoned him! They turned 6  away from the Lord’s dwelling place and rejected him. 7 

2 Chronicles 30:8

Context
30:8 Now, don’t be stubborn 8  like your fathers! Submit 9  to the Lord and come to his sanctuary which he has permanently consecrated. Serve the Lord your God so that he might relent from his raging anger. 10 

1 tn Heb “[May there be] a covenant between me and you [as there was] between my father and your father.”

2 tn Heb “so he will go up from upon me.”

4 tn That is, the members of Ahab’s royal house.
