1 tn Heb “If today you are for good to these people and you are favorable to them and speak to them good words, they will be your servants all the days.”

3 tn The Hebrew term צֹאן (tson) denotes smaller livestock in general; depending on context it can refer to sheep only or goats only, but their is nothing in the immediate context here to specify one or the other.

4 tn Heb “and Asa was angry at the seer, and he put him [in] the house of stocks, because of his rage with him over this.”

5 tn Heb “at that time.”

6 tn Heb “and there was great joy in Jerusalem, for from the days of Solomon son of David, king of Israel, there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.”

7 tn Or perhaps, “offerings.”

8 tn Heb “lifted up in the eyes of.”
