10:15 The king refused to listen to the people, because God was instigating this turn of events 1  so that he might bring to pass the prophetic announcement he had made 2  through Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam son of Nebat.

2 Chronicles 12:7

12:7 When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, he gave this message to Shemaiah: 3  “They have humbled themselves, so I will not destroy them. I will deliver them soon. 4  My anger will not be unleashed against 5  Jerusalem through 6  Shishak.

Cyrus Allows the Exiles to Go Home

36:22 In the first year of the reign of 19  King Cyrus of Persia, in fulfillment of the promise he delivered through Jeremiah, 20  the Lord moved 21  King Cyrus of Persia to issue a written decree throughout his kingdom.

16 tn Heb “like the abominable practices of the nations.”
