2 Chronicles 1:11

Context

1:11 God said to Solomon, “Because you desire this, 1  and did not ask for riches, wealth, and honor, or for vengeance on your enemies, 2  and because you did not ask for long life, 3  but requested wisdom and discernment so you can make judicial decisions for my people over whom I have made you king,

2 Chronicles 6:36

Context

6:36 “The time will come when your people 4  will sin against you (for there is no one who is sinless!) and you will be angry at them and deliver them over to their enemies, who will take them as prisoners to their land, whether far away or close by.

2 Chronicles 7:3

Context
7:3 When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the Lord’s splendor over the temple, they got on their knees with their faces downward toward the pavement. They worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, 5  “Certainly he is good; certainly his loyal love endures!”

9:8 May the Lord your God be praised because he favored 6  you by placing you on his throne as the one ruling on his behalf! 7  Because of your God’s love for Israel and his lasting commitment to them, 8  he made you king over them so you could make just and right decisions.” 9

12:5 Shemaiah the prophet visited Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah who were assembled in Jerusalem because of Shishak. He said to them, “This is what the Lord says: ‘You have rejected me, so I have rejected you and will hand you over to Shishak.’” 10

24:24 Even though the invading Syrian army was relatively weak, the Lord handed over to them Judah’s very large army, 11  for the people of Judah 12  had abandoned the Lord God of their ancestors. The Syrians 13  gave Joash what he deserved. 14 

2 Chronicles 26:21

Context
26:21 King Uzziah suffered from a skin disease until the day he died. He lived in separate quarters, 15  afflicted by a skin disease and banned from the Lord’s temple. His son Jotham was in charge of the palace and ruled over the people of the land.

28:9 Oded, a prophet of the Lord, was there. He went to meet the army as they arrived in Samaria and said to them: “Look, because the Lord God of your ancestors was angry with Judah he handed them over to you. You have killed them so mercilessly that God has taken notice. 16 

2 Chronicles 31:1

Context

31:1 When all this was over, the Israelites 17  who were in the cities of Judah went out and smashed the sacred pillars, cut down the Asherah poles, and demolished 18  all the high places and altars throughout Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. 19  Then all the Israelites returned to their own homes in their cities. 20 

2 Chronicles 31:10

31:10 Azariah, the head priest from the family of Zadok, said to him, “Since the contributions began arriving in the Lord’s temple, we have had plenty to eat and have a large quantity left over. For the Lord has blessed his people, and this large amount remains.”

2 Chronicles 34:4

34:4 He ordered the altars of the Baals to be torn down, 21  and broke the incense altars that were above them. He smashed the Asherah poles, idols and images, crushed them up and sprinkled the dust over the tombs of those who had sacrificed to them.
