1 Samuel 9:24

Context

9:24 So the cook picked up the leg and brought it and set it in front of Saul. Samuel 2  said, “What was kept is now set before you! Eat, for it has been kept for you for this meeting time, from the time I said, ‘I have invited the people.’” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.

1 Samuel 14:34

Context
14:34 Then Saul said, “Scatter out among the army and say to them, ‘Each of you bring to me your ox and sheep and slaughter them in this spot and eat. But don’t sin against the Lord by eating the blood.” So that night each one brought his ox and slaughtered it there. 3

1 tn Heb “all that is in your heart.”

2 tn Heb “he” (also in v. 25); the referent (Samuel) has been specified in both places in the translation for clarity.

3 tn Heb “and all the army brought near, each his ox by his hand, and they slaughtered there.”
