1 Samuel 4:19

Context

4:19 His daughter-in-law, the wife of Phineas, was pregnant and close to giving birth. When she heard that the ark of God was captured and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she doubled over and gave birth. But her labor pains were too much for her.

1 Samuel 22:17

22:17 Then the king said to the messengers 1  who were stationed beside him, “Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, for they too have sided 2  with David! They knew he was fleeing, but they did not inform me.” But the king’s servants refused to harm 3  the priests of the Lord.

1 Samuel 30:21

Context

30:21 Then David approached the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to go with him, 4  those whom they had left at the Wadi Besor. They went out to meet David and the people who were with him. When David approached the people, he asked how they were doing.
