4:17 The messenger replied, “Israel has fled from 1  the Philistines! The army has suffered a great defeat! Your two sons, Hophni and Phineas, are dead! The ark of God has been captured!”

17:51 David ran and stood over the Philistine. He grabbed Goliath’s 2  sword, drew it from its sheath, 3  killed him, and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they ran away.
