1 Samuel 21:6
Context21:6 So the priest gave him holy bread, for there was no bread there other than the bread of the Presence. It had been removed from before the Lord in order to replace it with hot bread on the day it had been taken away.

1 tc The MT has a plural “you” here, but the LXX and a Qumran
2 tn Heb “which I commanded, dwelling place.” The noun is functioning as an adverbial accusative in relation to the verb. Since God’s dwelling place/sanctuary is in view, the pronoun “my” is supplied in the translation.
3 tn Heb “said to his heart.”
4 tn Heb “and the leaders of the Philistines said.”
5 tn Heb “so that he might not become.”
6 tn Or perhaps, “our men.” On this use of the demonstrative pronoun see Joüon 2:532 §143.e.
