2 tn Heb “like Egypt and Pharaoh hardened their heart.”

3 tn Heb “he”; the referent (God) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

4 tn Heb “and they sent them away and they went.”

5 tn Or “righteous” (so KJV, NASB, NIV, NRSV); NAB “you are in the right”; NLT “are a better man than I am.”
