1 Samuel 18:12-15

Context

18:12 So Saul feared David, because the Lord was with him but had departed from Saul. 18:13 Saul removed David 1  from his presence and made him a commanding officer. 2  David led the army out to battle and back. 3  18:14 Now David achieved success in all he did, 4  for the Lord was with him. 18:15 When Saul saw how very successful he was, he was afraid of him.

Context

18:28 When Saul realized 5  that the Lord was with David and that his 6  daughter Michal loved David, 7  18:29 Saul became even more afraid of him. 8  Saul continued to be at odds with David from then on. 9
