1 Samuel 20:8
Context20:8 You must be loyal 2 to your servant, for you have made a covenant with your servant in the Lord’s name. 3 If I am guilty, 4 you yourself kill me! Why bother taking me to your father?”
1 tn Heb “You have acted deceptively.” In this context the verb refers to violating an agreement, in this case the dietary and sacrificial regulations of the Mosaic law. The verb form is second masculine plural; apparently Saul here addresses those who are eating the animals.
