10:11 (Hiram’s fleet, which carried gold from Ophir, also brought from Ophir a very large quantity of fine timber and precious gems.

1 Kings 22:48

Context
22:48 Jehoshaphat built a fleet of large merchant ships 3  to travel to Ophir for gold, but they never made the voyage because they were shipwrecked in Ezion Geber.

1 tn Heb “Let my servants go with your servants in the fleet.”

2 tn Heb “and Hiram sent with the fleet his servants, men of ships, [who] know the sea, [to be] with the servants of Solomon.”

3 tn Heb “a fleet of Tarshish [ships].” This probably refers to large ships either made in or capable of traveling to the distant western port of Tarshish.
