Context2:4 and the Lord will fulfill his promise to me, 1 ‘If your descendants watch their step 2 and live faithfully in my presence 3 with all their heart and being, 4 then,’ he promised, 5 ‘you will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’ 6

Context5:5 So I have decided 7 to build a temple to honor the Lord 8 my God, as the Lord instructed my father David, ‘Your son, whom I will put on your throne in your place, is the one who will build a temple to honor me.’ 9

Context8:20 The Lord has kept the promise he made. 10 I have taken my father David’s place and have occupied the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised. I have built this temple for the honor 11 of the Lord God of Israel
