1 Kings 13:33--14:2
Context13:33 After this happened, Jeroboam still did not change his evil ways; 1 he continued to appoint common people 2 as priests at the high places. Anyone who wanted the job he consecrated as a priest. 3 13:34 This sin caused Jeroboam’s dynasty 4 to come to an end and to be destroyed from the face of the earth.
14:1 5 At that time Jeroboam’s son Abijah became sick. 14:2 Jeroboam told his wife, “Disguise 6 yourself so that people cannot recognize you are Jeroboam’s wife. Then go to Shiloh; Ahijah the prophet, who told me I would rule over this nation, lives there. 7
