2 tn Heb “and all the earth was seeking the face of Solomon to hear his wisdom which God had placed in his heart.”
3 tn The Hebrew text has the singular, but the plural is preferable here (see 1 Kgs 13:32). The Old Greek translation and the Vulgate have the plural.
4 tn Heb “in the eyes of.”
5 tn Heb “and they made him jealous more than all which their fathers had done by their sins which they sinned.”
