1 Kings 10:21

Context

10:21 All of King Solomon’s cups were made of gold, and all the household items in the Palace of the Lebanon Forest were made of pure gold. There were no silver items, for silver was not considered very valuable in Solomon’s time. 1 

1 Kings 15:18

Context
15:18 Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it 2  to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

1 Kings 21:2

21:2 Ahab said to Naboth, “Give me your vineyard so I can make a vegetable garden out of it, for it is adjacent to my palace. I will give you an even better vineyard in its place, or if you prefer, 3  I will pay you silver for it.” 4 

1 tn Heb “there was no silver, it was not regarded as anything in the days of Solomon.”

2 tn Heb “King Asa sent it.”

3 tn Heb “if it is good in your eyes.”

4 tc The Old Greek translation includes the following words: “And it will be mine as a garden of herbs.”
