Context
1:9 Adonijah sacrificed sheep, cattle, and fattened steers at the Stone of Zoheleth near En Rogel. He invited all his brothers, the king’s sons,¹ as well as all the men of Judah, the king’s servants.

1 Kings 8:9

Context
8:9 There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets Moses had placed there in Horeb.² It was there that³ the Lord made an agreement with the Israelites after he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

¹tc The ancient Greek version omits this appositional phrase.

²sn Horeb is another name for Mount Sinai.
