1 Corinthians 3:6-7

[1Co 3:7] God The Lord Does Ask
God the Lord does ask us to do a task,
Whether planting or watering seed.
We are servants all of our God who has called
Us to come to Him and believe.
We all are God’s fellow workers;
We’re His field where His seed does grow.God alone does know how to make things grow;
Let none quarrel or be filled with pride.
For the ones who sow and who water know
That their purpose is unified.
We all are God’s fellow workers;
Each man’s labor will bring reward.By God’s gift of grace, a foundation’s placed
And a building ere long does rise.
But we each must take care how we build our share;
It must rest upon Jesus Christ.
For we are the Lord’s own building;
Our foundation is Christ the Lord.If we build with gold that has worth untold
Or with silver or costly stones,
Then our work still will last when the judgment has passed;
Its true character will be shown.
The Day will reveal each building;
Each man’s work will be tested by fire.If our work displays only wood, straw, hay,
We will suffer great loss and shame.
For though we will survive, we will win no prize;
We’ll escape only as through flames.
O Lord, may we build with wisdom,
That our work may come forth as gold!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 3:7] Oh, To Be Nothing
Oh, to be nothing, nothing,
Only to lie at His feet,
A broken and emptied vessel,
For the Master’s use made meet.
Emptied that He might fill me
As forth to His service I go;
Broken, that so unhindered,
His life through me might show.Refrain
Oh, to be nothing, nothing,
Only to lie at His feet,
A broken and emptied vessel,
For the Master’s use made meet.Oh, to be nothing, nothing,
Only as led by His hand;
A messenger at His gateway,
Only waiting for His command;
Only an instrument ready
His praises to sound at His will,
Willing should He not require me,
In silence to wait on Him still.Refrain
Oh, to be nothing, nothing,
Painful the humbling may be,
Yet low in the dust I’d lay me
That the world might my Savior see.
Rather be nothing, nothing,
To Him let our voices be raised,
He is the Fountain of blessing,
He only is meet to be praised.Refrain

[1Co 3:11] Church Of God Is Stablished, The
The Church of God is stablished
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Indwelt by Christ all glorious
With Christ she shall accord.
The sweetness of Christ’s spirit
Within her life endures,
And to the weary nations
God’s day of peace ensures.The Church of God enshrineth
Whate’er true men hold dear,
And with her strength doth cherish
The visions of the seer.
The patience of Christ’s spirit
Within her heart abides,
To hope she still doth witness,
Whatever ill betides.The Church of God increaseth
Through sacrifice and pain;
Through travail and through sorrow
She makes her constant gain.
The passion of Christ’s spirit
Ne’er from the Church shall die;
Love shall the sin-vexed peoples
Redeem and sanctify.The Church of God endureth,
Though vexed with inward strife;
To God’s sure end she moveth
For Christ is her true life.
The power of Christ’s strong spirit
The Church shall unify,
When, all names lost in One Name,
The kingdom draweth nigh.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 3:11] Church’s One Foundation, The
The Church’s one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord,
She is His new creation
By water and the Word.
From heaven He came and sought her
To be His holy bride;
With His own blood He bought her
And for her life He died.She is from every nation,
Yet one o’er all the earth;
Her charter of salvation,
One Lord, one faith, one birth;
One holy Name she blesses,
Partakes one holy food,
And to one hope she presses,
With every grace endued.The Church shall never perish!
Her dear Lord to defend,
To guide, sustain, and cherish,
Is with her to the end:
Though there be those who hate her,
And false sons in her pale,
Against both foe or traitor
She ever shall prevail.Though with a scornful wonder
Men see her sore oppressed,
By schisms rent asunder,
By heresies distressed:
Yet saints their watch are keeping,
Their cry goes up, “How long?”
And soon the night of weeping
Shall be the morn of song!’Mid toil and tribulation,
And tumult of her war,
She waits the consummation
Of peace forevermore;
Till, with the vision glorious,
Her longing eyes are blest,
And the great Church victorious
Shall be the Church at rest.Yet she on earth hath union
With God the Three in One,
And mystic sweet communion
With those whose rest is won,
With all her sons and daughters
Who, by the Master’s hand
Led through the deathly waters,
Repose in Eden land.O happy ones and holy!
Lord, give us grace that we
Like them, the meek and lowly,
On high may dwell with Thee:
There, past the border mountains,
Where in sweet vales the Bride
With Thee by living fountains
Forever shall abide!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 3:11] Founded On Thee
Founded on Thee, our only Lord,
On Thee, the everlasting Rock,
Thy Church shall stand, as stands Thy Word,
Nor fear the storm, nor dread the shock.For Thee our waiting spirits yearn,
For Thee this house of praise we rear;
To Thee with longing hearts we turn:
Come, fix Thy glorious presence here.Come, with Thy Spirit and Thy power,
The Conqueror, once the Crucified;
Our God, our Strength, our King, our Tower,
Here plant Thy throne, and here abide.Accept the work our hands have wrought;
Accept, O God, this earthly shrine;
Be Thou our Rock, our life, our thought,
And we, as living temples, Thine.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 3:11] We Build Our School On Thee
We build our school on Thee, O Lord,
To Thee we bring our common need;
The loving heart, the helpful word,
The tender thought, the kindly deed.We work together in Thy sight,
We live together in Thy love;
Guide Thou our faltering steps aright,
And lift our thought to Heaven above.Hold Thou each hand to keep it just,
Touch Thou our lips and make them pure,
If Thou art with us, Lord, we must
Be faithful friends and comrades sure.We change, but Thou art still the same,
The same good Master, Teacher, Friend;
We change; but Lord, we bear Thy Name,
To journey with it to the end.Play source: Cyberhymnal
