[1Co 15:3] To Him For Our Sins Was Slain
To Him Who for our sins was slain,
To Him, for all His dying pain,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!
To Him the Lamb, our Sacrifice,
Who gave His soul our ransom price,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!To Him Who died that we might die
To sin, and live to Him on high,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!
To Him Who rose that we might rise,
And reign with Him beyond the skies,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!To Him Who now for us doth plead,
And helpeth us in all our need,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!
To Him Who doth prepare on high,
Our home in immortality,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!To Him be glory be evermore;
Ye heavenly hosts, your Lord adore;
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!
To Father, Son and Holy Ghost,
Our God most great, our joy and boast,
Sing we Alleluia! Sing we Alleluia!source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:4] Again The Lord’s Own Day Is Here
Again the Lord’s own day is here,
The day to Christian people dear,
As, week by week, it bids them tell
How Jesus rose from death and hell.For by His flock their Lord declared
His resurrection should be shared;
And we who trust in Him to save
With Him are risen from the grave.We, one and all, of Him possessed,
Are with exceeding treasures blessed,
For all He did, and all He bare,
He gives us as our own to share.Eternal glory, rest on high,
A blessèd immortality,
True peace and gladness, and a throne,
Are all His gifts, and all our own.And therefore unto Thee we sing,
O Lord of peace, eternal King;
Thy love we praise, Thy Name adore,
Both on this day and evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:4] Jesus Arose!
Forth from God’s throne, into this world of woe,
Came God’s own Son, salvation to bestow;
Nailed to the cross in pain and agony,
Laid in the tomb to save both you and me.Refrain
Jesus arose! Praise His holy name!
Jesus arose! Death He overcame!
An angel rolled away the stone,
My Lord arose to save His own,
And now He reigns upon His throne!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!Three days He lay within that dark domain,
Then with new life, forth from the tomb He came;
Christ has the key; oh, death, where is thy sting?
Our Lord doth live! oh, let your praises ring!Refrain
Tho’ He’s on high, He’s coming back some day,
Then from this earth, He’ll carry us away;
E’en tho’ we die, we know we’ll rise again,
For Christ arose, our precious souls to win!Refrain

[1Co 15:4] So Rest—my Rest!
So rest—my Rest!
Thou ever blest!
Thy grave with sinners making,
By Thy precious death, from sin
My dead soul awaking!Here hast Thou lain,
After much pain,
Life of my life, reposing!
Round Thee now a rock-hewn grave,
Rock of Ages, closing.Breath of all breath!
I know from death
Thou wilt my soul awaken!
Wherefore should I dread the grave,
Or my faith be shaken?To me the tomb
Is but a room,
Where I lie down with Jesus!
Who by death hath conquered death,
Safely there receives us!The body dies
(Naught else) and lies
In dust, until victorious
From the grave, it shall arise
Beautiful and glorious!Meantime I will,
My Jesus, still
Deep in my bosom lay Thee,
Musing on Thy death; in death
Be with me, I pray Thee!source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:4] Yes, The Redeemer Rose
Yes, the Redeemer rose, the Savior left the dead,
And o’er our hellish foes high raised His conquering head.
In wild dismay the guards around,
Fall to the ground and sink away.Lo! the angelic bands in full assembly meet,
To wait His high commands and worship at His feet.
Joyful they come, and wing their way
From realms of day to see His tomb.Then back to Heav’n they fly and the glad tidings bear.
Hark! as they soar on high, what music fills the air!
Their anthems say, “Jesus, who bled,
Hath left the dead, He rose today.”Ye mortals, catch the sound, redeemed by Him from hell;
And send the echo round the globe on which you dwell:
Transported, cry, “Jesus, who bled,
Hath left the dead, no more to die.”All hail! triumphant Lord, who sav’st us with Thy blood;
Wide be Thy Name adored, Thou rising, reigning God!
With Thee we rise, with Thee we reign,
And empires gain beyond the skies.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[1Co 15:20] Asleep In Jesus
Asleep in Jesus! Blessèd sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep;
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Unbroken by the last of foes.Asleep in Jesus! Oh, how sweet,
To be for such a slumber meet,
With holy confidence to sing
That death has lost his venomed sting!Asleep in Jesus! Peaceful rest,
Whose waking is supremely blessed;
No fear, no woe, shall dim that hour
That manifests the Savior’s power.Asleep in Jesus! Oh, for me
May such a blessèd refuge be!
Securely shall my ashes lie
And wait the summons from on high.Asleep in Jesus! time nor space
Debars this precious “hiding place”;
On Indian plains or Lapland snows
Believers find the same respose.Asleep in Jesus! Far from thee
Thy kindred and their graves may be;
But there is still a blessèd sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:20] Awake, Glad Soul
Awake, glad soul! awake! awake!
Thy Lord has risen long;
Go to His grave, and with thee take
Both tuneful heart and song.Where life is waking all around,
Where love’s sweet voices sing,
The first bright blossom may be found
Of an eternal spring.The shade and gloom of life are fled
This resurrection day;
Henceforth in Christ are no more dead,
The grave hath no more prey.In Christ we live, in Christ we sleep,
In Christ we wake and rise,
And the sad tears death makes us weep,
He wipes from all our eyes.And every bird and every tree,
And every opening flower,
Proclaim His glorious victory,
His resurrection power.The folds are glad, the fields rejoice,
With vernal verdure spread,
The little hills lift up their voice
And shout that death is dead.Then wake, glad heart! awake! awake
And seek Thy risen Lord;
Joy in His resurrection take,
And comfort in His Word.And let thy life, through all its ways,
One long thanksgiving be:
Its theme of joy, its song of praise—
Christ died, and rose for me.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:20] Christ The Lord Is Risen Today (2)
Christ the Lord is risen today;
Christians, haste your vows to pay;
Offer ye your praises meet
At the Paschal Victim’s feet.
For the sheep the Lamb hath bled,
Sinless in the sinner’s stead;
“Christ is risen,” today we cry;
Now He lives no more to die.Christ, the Victim undefiled,
Man to God hath reconciled;
Whilst in strange and awful strife
Met together Death and Life:
Christians, on this happy day
Haste with joy your vows to pay;
“Christ is risen,” today we cry;
Now He lives no more to die.Christ, who once for sinners bled,
Now the first born from the dead,
Throned in endless might and power,
Lives and reigns forevermore.
Hail, eternal Hope on high!
Hail, Thou King of victory!
Hail, Thou Prince of life adored!
Help and save us, gracious Lord.source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:20] Hearts To Heaven And Voices Raise
Alleluia, alleluia! Hearts to Heaven and voices raise:
Sing to God a hymn of gladness, sing to God a hymn of praise.
He, who on the cross a Victim, for the world’s salvation bled,
Jesus Christ, the King of glory, now is risen from the dead.Now the iron bars are broken, Christ from death to life is born,
Glorious life, and life immortal, on the holy Easter morn.
Christ has triumphed, and we conquer by His mighty enterprise:
We with Him to life eternal by His resurrection rise.Christ is risen, Christ, the first fruits of the holy harvest field,
Which will all its full abundance at His second coming yield:
Then the golden ears of harvest will their heads before Him wave,
Ripened by His glorious sunshine from the furrows of the grave.Christ is risen, we are risen! Shed upon us heavenly grace,
Rain and dew and gleams of glory from the brightness of Thy face;
That we, with our hearts in Heaven, here on earth may fruitful be,
And by angel hands be gathered, and be ever, Lord, with Thee.Alleluia, alleluia! Glory be to God on high;
Alleluia! to the Savior who has gained the victory;
Alleluia! to the Spirit, fount of love and sanctity:
Alleluia, alleluia! to the Triune Majesty.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:20] Sing With All The Saints In Glory
Sing with all the saints in glory, sing the resurrection song!
[originally Sing with all the sons of glory…]
Death and sorrow, earth’s dark story, to the former days belong.
All around the clouds are breaking, soon the storms of time shall cease;
In God’s likeness we, awaking, know the everlasting peace.O what glory, far exceeding all that eye has yet perceived!
Holiest hearts, for ages pleading, never that full joy conceived.
God has promised, Christ prepares it, there on high our welcome waits.
Every humble spirit shares it; Christ has passed th’eternal gates.Life eternal! heaven rejoices; Jesus lives, who once was dead.
Join we now the deathless voices; child of God, lift up your head!
Patriarchs from the distant ages, saints all longing for their heaven,
Prophets, psalmists, seers, and sages, all await the glory given.Life eternal! O what wonders crowd on faith; what joy unknown,
When, amidst earth’s closing thunders, saints shall stand before the throne!
O to enter that bright portal, see that glowing firmament;
Know, with Thee, O God immortal, “Jesus Christ Whom Thou has sent.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[1Co 15:20] Thou Hallowed Chosen Morn Of Praise
Thou hallowed chosen morn of praise,
That best and greatest shinest;
Fair Easter, queen of all the days,
Of seasons, best, divinest!
Christ rose from death; and we adore
Forever and forevermore.Come, let us taste the vine’s new fruit,
For heav’nly joy preparing;
Today the branches with the root
In resurrection sharing:
Whom as true God our hymns adore
Forever and forevermore.Rise, Zion, rise! and looking forth,
Behold thy children round thee!
From east and west, from south and north,
Thy scattered sons have found thee;
And in thy bosom Christ adore
Forever and for evermore.O Father, O co-equal Son,
O co-eternal Spirit,
In persons Three, in Godhead One,
And One in power and merit;
In Thee baptized, we Thee adore
Forever and for evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal
