9:22 All those selected to be gatekeepers at the entrances numbered 212. Their names were recorded in the genealogical records of their settlements. David and Samuel the prophet 1  had appointed them to their positions. 2

17:1 When David had settled into his palace, 3  he 4  said to Nathan the prophet, “Look, I am living in a palace 5  made from cedar, while the ark of the Lord’s covenant is under a tent.” 6

25:5 All these were the sons of Heman, the king’s prophet. God had promised him these sons in order to make him prestigious. 7  God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

1 Chronicles 26:28

26:28 They were also in charge of everything dedicated by Samuel the prophet, 8  Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah; Shelomith and his relatives were in charge of everything that had been dedicated.

1 tn The Hebrew term is רֹאֶה (roeh, “seer”), an older word for נָבִיא (navi’, “prophet”).
