1 Chronicles 5:26

Context
5:26 So the God of Israel stirred up 1  King Pul of Assyria (that is, King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria), 2  and he carried away the Reubenites, Gadites, and half-tribe of Manasseh and took them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan, where they remain to this very day.

1 Chronicles 10:4

10:4 Saul told his armor bearer, “Draw your sword and stab me with it. Otherwise these uncircumcised people will come and torture me.” 3  But his armor bearer refused to do it, because he was very afraid. So Saul took the sword and fell on it.

1 Chronicles 26:32

26:32 Jeriah had 2,700 relatives who were respected family leaders. 4  King David placed them in charge of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh; they took care of all matters pertaining to God and the king. 5

2 tn Heb “and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria.” “Pul” and “Tilgath-pilneser” were names of the same Assyrian ruler, more commonly known as Tiglath-pileser (cf. 2 Kgs 15:29).

3 tn Heb “so these uncircumcised ones might not come and abuse me.”

4 tn Heb “and his brothers, sons of respect, [were] 2,700, heads of fathers.”

5 tn Heb “with respect to every matter of God and matter of the king.”
