1 Chronicles 11:22

1 Chronicles 22:13

Context
22:13 Then you will succeed, if you carefully obey the rules and regulations which the Lord ordered Moses to give to Israel. 2  Be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic! 3

1 tc Heb “the two of Ariel, Moab.” The precise meaning of אֲרִיאֵל (’ariel) is uncertain; some read “warrior.” The present translation assumes that the word is a proper name and that בְּנֵי (bÿney, “sons of”) has accidentally dropped from the text by homoioarcton (note the preceding שְׁנֵי, shÿney).

2 tn Heb “which the Lord commanded Moses concerning Israel.”

3 tn Or perhaps, “and don’t get discouraged.”
