Joshua 6:23

6:23 So the young spies went and brought out Rahab, her father, mother, brothers, and all who belonged to her. They brought out her whole family and took them to a place outside ¹  the Israelite camp.

Joshua 6:25

6:25 Yet Joshua spared ²  Rahab the prostitute, her father’s family, ³  and all who belonged to her. She lives in Israel ⁴  to this very day because she hid the messengers Joshua sent to spy on Jericho. ⁵

⁸ tn Heb “him.” The referent of the pronoun could be Othniel, in which case the translation would be, “she incited him [Othniel] to ask her father for a field.” This is problematic, however, for Acsah, not Othniel, makes the request in v. 19. The LXX has “he [Othniel] urged her to ask her father for a field.” This appears to be an attempt to reconcile the apparent inconsistency and probably does not reflect the original text.
