Context8:31 Then 1 Jesus 2 began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer 3 many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and experts in the law, 4 and be killed, and after three days rise again. 8:32 He spoke openly about this. So 5 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 8:33 But after turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan. You are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.” 6
1 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the narrative.
