semæostomatan. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. a military standard + , , mouth.].
     A division of Discophora having large free mouth lobes. It includes Aurelia, and Pelagia. Called also Semeostoma. See Illustr. under Discophora, and Medusa.  [1913 Webster]
