rubaiyat, n. pl. [Ar. rubā'iyāh quatrian, pl. of rubā'iy having four radicals, fr. rubā' four.].

Quatrians; as, the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. Sometimes in pl. construed as sing., a poem in such stanzas. [Webster 1913 Suppl.]
