confarreation, n. [L. confarreatio, fr. confarreare to marry; con- + farreum (sc. libum cake) a spelt cake, fr. farreus made of spelt, fr. far a sort of grain.].
A form of marriage among the Romans, in which an offering of bread was made, in presence of the high priest and at least ten witnesses. [1913 Webster]
