LANE [ISBE]

LANE - lan (rhume): An alley or bypath of a city. Occurs once in Lk 14:21, "Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city"; elsewhere translated "street," e.g. Mt 6:2; Acts 9:11; Ecclesiasticus 9:7; Tobit 13:18.
