Not a thought of earthly things!
Every head in awe be bended:
Christ our God, the King of kings,
Comes by angel troops attended.Forth He comes, a victim He
For the wide world’s need availing,
And His people’s food to be,
With Himself their souls regaling.Cherubim with watchful eyes,

Powers and principalities,

Through this wilderness below,
Guide my feet in peaceful ways,
Turn my midnights into days;
When in the darkness I would grope,
Faith always sees a star of hope,
And soon from all life’s grief and danger,

Nor what the future holds for me,
But this I know, if Jesus leads me,
