[Psa 97:1] Jehovah Reigns, Let Earth Be Glad
Jehovah reigns, let earth be glad,
And all the isles their joy make known;
With clouds and darkness He is clad,
On truth and justice rests His throne.Consuming fire destroys His foes,
Around the world His lightnings blaze;
The trembling earth His presence knows,
The mountains melt before His gaze.The heav’ns His righteousness proclaim,
Through earth His glory shines abroad;
From idol worship turn with shame
And bow before the living God.Thy Church rejoices to behold
Thy judgments in the earth, O Lord;
Thy glory to the world unfold,
Supreme o’er all be Thou adored.All ye that truly love the Lord,
Hate sin, for He is just and pure;
To saints His help He will accord
And keep them in His love secure.For good men light and joy are sown
To bless them in the harvest time;
Ye saints, your joy in God make known

Who wast, and art, and art to come,
The same through everlasting years.
Thee would we worship and adore,
Thy Name extol forevermore.Thou art the Framer of the skies;

And nature’s wondrous mysteries,
In earth and sky and sea and air,
Thy immanence fore’er proclaim
Throughout her universal frame.To all Thy works thy power extends;
Omnipotent we know Thou art;

The universe in every part:
Past, present, future, unto Thee
Are known—one vast eternity.Thou art Thyself in every place,
Infinite Life and Light and Love,
Confined to neither time nor space;
None from Thy presence can remove,
Nor any soul hide aught from Thee,
Whose presence fills immensity.Prostrate before Thy throne we fall,
With reverence worship and adore;
Thou art Jehovah, over all,
God blessèd now and evermore;
Unworthy we to lisp thy Name,
Yet justly Thou our praise dost claim.Search Thou our hearts, try all within;
Our hearts are open, Lord, to Thee;
And if Thou seest aught unclean,
From its defilement set us free;
Then lead us forth from day to day

Now are we come to the sun’s hour of rest;

Therefore the day and night Thy glories own.The lights of evening now around us shine;
We hymn Thy blest humanity divine;
Worthiest art Thou at all times to be sung,
By grateful hearts, with undefilèd tongue,
Son of our God, Giver of life, alone!

The God of holiness and love,
His faithfulness I see above,
Though I am prone to sin;
But triumphing with His strong hand,
I know with me He’ll ever stand,

How blest was I to see His face,
His life He did not spare;
This sinner He in love did seek,
Enabling me His Word to speak,
I walk as child and heir.Yes, Jesus died upon the cross,
To some it seems but pain and loss,
But He the Lord obeyed;
The Potter setting free His clay,
To live above in endless day,
With love that cannot fade.In that celestial home I’ll see
My brothers, sisters, family,
I long for His reward;
Then Jesus will my soul embrace,
A crown of life my sins replace,
