• [Psa 54:1] O Save Me By Thy Name

  O save me by Thy Name, And judge me in Thy might, O God, now grant my urgent claim Acceptance in Thy sight. Strong foes against me rise, Oppressors seek my soul, Who set not God before their eyes, Nor own His just control. Lo, God my Helper is, The Lord, my mighty Friend, He shall requite my enemies, Their just destruction send. My sacrifice of praise To Thee I freely bring; My thanks, O Lord, to Thee I raise And of Thy goodness sing. From troubles and from woes Thou hast delivered me, The overthrow of all my foes Hast given me to see.

• [Psa 54:2] Father, Hear The Prayer We Offer

  Father, hear the prayer we offer: Nor for ease that prayer shall be, But for strength, that we may ever Live our lives courageously. Not forever in green pastures Do we ask our way to be, But the steep and rugged pathway May we tread rejoicingly. Not forever by still waters Would we idly, quiet stay; But would smite the living fountains From the rocks along our way. Be our strength in hours of weakness, In our wanderings be our Guide; Through endeavor, failure, danger, Father, be Thou at our side. Let our path be bright or dreary, Storm or sunshine be our share; May our souls in hope unweary Make Thy work our ceaseless prayer.

• [Psa 54:2] Jesus, Savior, We Implore Thee

  Jesus, Savior, we implore Thee, Hear Thy children now before Thee, For Thy goodness we adore Thee, Still our hearts in safety keep. While Thy mercy we are pleading, Thou in Heav’n art interceding; Lead us where Thy flocks are feeding, Gentle Shepherd, lead Thy sheep. Meekly now Thy Word receiving, In Thy precious Name believing, Earthly pleasures gladly leaving, Help us, Lord, to follow Thee. Hoping, trusting, ne’er repining, All to Thee by faith resigning, In Thy gracious arms reclining, Thy disciples we would be. In our weakness, Lord, befriend us, From the tempter’s power defend us, May the shining ones attend us When we wake, and when we sleep. Peaceful in Thy strength abiding, Joyful in Thy love confiding; Where the living streams are gliding, Blessèd Savior, lead Thy sheep.
