Jeremiah 30
- [Jer 30:21] Close To Thee
Thou my everlasting Portion, more than friend or life to me,
All along my pilgrim journey, Savior, let me walk with Thee.
Close to Thee, close to Thee, close to Thee, close to Thee,
All along my pilgrim journey, Savior, let me walk with Thee.Not for ease or worldly pleasure, nor for fame my prayer shall be;
Gladly will I toil and suffer, only let me walk with Thee.
Close to Thee, close to Thee, close to Thee, close to Thee,
Gladly will I toil and suffer, only let me walk with Thee.Lead me through the vale of shadows, bear me over life’s fitful sea;
Then the gate of life eternal may I enter, Lord, with Thee.
Close to Thee, close to Thee, close to Thee, close to Thee,
Then the gate of life eternal may I enter, Lord, with Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Jer 30:21] Closer To Thee
Closer to Thee, near to Thy side,
Closer, dear Lord, I would abide;
Hold me in Thy embrace,
’Neath ev’ry smile of grace;
Grant me, Thy child, a place
Closer to Thee.Closer to Thee, near to Thy breast,
Closer to Thee, Lord, let me rest;
Guide me when I would stray,
Keep me from sin each day,
Draw me, dear Lord, I pray,
Closer to Thee.Closer to Thee, happy and free,
Grant me, O Lord, ever to be;
Hear me in ev’ry cry,
Stand near when I must die;
Then take me home on high,
Closer to Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Jer 30:21] Draw Me Closer, Lord, To Thee
Draw me closer, Lord, to Thee,
Fold me in Thy love’s embrace,
And unto my soul reveal
All the riches of Thy grace.Refrain
Draw me closer, closer, closer,
Closer, Lord, to Thee;
Ever purer, purer, purer
Then my soul shall be.Draw me closer, Lord, to Thee;
In Thy arms Thy child enfold,
And this earthly heart of mine
Into Thine own image mold.Refrain
Draw me closer, Lord, to Thee,
In communion rich and sweet,
Till my soul shall be refined,
And in Thee be made complete.Refrain
Draw me closer, Lord, to Thee,
For my longing soul aspires
To discover in Thyself
All it yearns for and desires.Refrain

I would draw nearer to Jesus,
In His sweet presence abide,
Constantly trying to serve Him,
Safe and secure at His side.Refrain
I would draw nearer to Jesus,
I would draw nearer to Him;
Fully surrendered each moment,
I would draw nearer to Him.I would draw nearer to Jesus,
Nothing withholding from Him,
Knowing He loves to be gracious,
I would draw nearer to Him.Refrain
I would draw nearer to Jesus,
Seeking His strength to be true,
Willing to tell of His goodness,
Gladly His blest will to do.Refrain

O God, of good the unfathomed Sea!
Who would not give his heart to Thee?
Who would not love Thee with his might?
O Jesus, Lover of mankind,
Who would not his whole soul and mind,
With all his strength, to Thee unite?Thou shin’st with everlasting rays;
Before the insufferable blaze
Angels with both wings veil their eyes;
Yet free as air Thy bounty streams
On all thy works; Thy mercy’s beams
Diffusive as Thy sun’s arise.Astonished at thy frowning brow,
Earth, hell, and Heaven’s strong pillars bow;
Terrible majesty is Thine!
Who then can that vast love express
Which bows Thee down to me, who less
Than nothing am, till Thou art mine?High throned upon Heaven’s eternal hill,
In number, weight, and measure still
Thou sweetly orderest all that is:
And yet Thou deign’st to come to me,
And guide my steps, that I, with Thee
Enthroned, may reign in endless bliss.Fountain of good, all blessing flows
From Thee; no want Thy fullness knows;
What but Thyself canst Thou desire?
Yet, self-sufficient as Thou art,
Thou dost desire my worthless heart;
This, only this, dost Thou require.Primeval Beauty! in Thy sight
The first-born, fairest sons of light
See all their brightest glories fade:
What then to me Thine eyes could turn,
In sin conceived, of woman born,
A worm, a leaf, a blast, a shade?Hell’s armies tremble at Thy nod,
And trembling own the almighty God,
Sovereign of earth, hell, air, and sky:
But who is this that comes from far,
Whose garments rolled in blood appear?
’Tis God made man, for man to die!O God, of good the unfathomed Sea!
Who would not give his heart to Thee?
Who would not love Thee with his might?
O Jesus, Lover of mankind,
Who would not his whole soul and mind,
With all his strength, to Thee unite?Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Jer 30:21] O To Abide In Jesus
O to abide in Jesus,
O to be His alone;
Close to the fount of blessing,
Close to my Savior’s throne.
O for an earnest longing,
Into His life to grow;
O for a deeper yearning,
More of its joy to know.O to abide in Jesus,
Never to faint nor fall;
Clinging to Him Who loves me,
Trusting my all in all.
O for a heart to praise Him,
O for a tongue to sing
Glory to Him Who saves me,
Jesus my Lord and King.O to be more like Jesus,
Earnest whene’er I pray;
Into His perfect likeness
Growing from day to day,
O for a faith to bear me,
Ever with tireless wing,
Home where the blest are waiting,
Home where the angels sing.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Jer 30:21] Still With Thee, O My God
Still with Thee, O my God,
I would desire to be;
By day, by night, at home, abroad,
I would be still with Thee.With Thee when dawn comes in
And calls me back to care,
Each day returning to begin
With Thee, my God, in prayer.With Thee amid the crowd
That throngs the busy mart,
To hear Thy voice, where time’s is loud,
Speak softly to my heart.With Thee when day is done,
And evening calms the mind;
The setting as the rising sun
With Thee my heart would find.With Thee when darkness brings
The signal of repose,
Calm in the shadow of Thy wings,
Mine eyelids I would close.With Thee, in Thee, by faith
Abiding, I would be;
By day, by night, in life, in death,
I would be still with Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal
