2 Timothy 1
- [2Ti 1:6] Lord, With Glowing Heart I’d Praise Thee
Lord, with glowing heart I’d praise Thee,
For the bliss Thy love bestows,
For the pardoning grace that saves me,
And the peace that from it flows:
Help, O God, my weak endeavor;
This dull soul to rapture raise:
Thou must light the flame, or never
Can my love be warmed to praise.Praise, my soul, the God that sought thee,
Wretched wanderer, far astray;
Found thee lost, and kindly brought thee
From the paths of death away;
Praise, with love’s devoutest feeling,
Him Who saw thy guilt-born fear,
And the light of hope revealing,
Bade the blood-stained cross appear.Praise thy Savior God that drew thee
To that cross, new life to give,
Held a blood sealed pardon to thee,
Bade thee look to Him and live.
Praise the grace whose threats alarmed thee,
Roused thee from thy fatal ease;
Praise the grace whose promise warmed thee,
Praise the grace that whispered peace.Lord, this bosom’s ardent feeling
Vainly would my lips express.
Low before Thy footstool kneeling,
Deign Thy suppliant’s prayer to bless:
Let Thy grace, my soul’s chief treasure,
Love’s pure flame within me raise;
And, since words can never measure,
Let my life show forth Thy praise.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Ti 1:7] Thou God Of Power And God Of Love
Thou God of power and God of love,
Whose glory fills the realms above,
Whose praise archangels sing,
And veil their faces while they cry,
“Thrice holy,” to their God most high,
“Thrice holy,” to their King.Thee as our God we too would claim,
And bless the Savior’s precious Name,
Through Whom this grace is given:
He bore the curse to sinners due,
He forms their ruined souls anew,
And makes them heirs of Heaven.The veil that hides Thy glory rend,
And here in saving power descend,
And fix Thy blest abode;
Here to our hearts Thyself reveal,
And let each waiting spirit feel
The presence of our God.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Ti 1:9] Calling For You
Oh, come to the Savior, His arms are extended,
Oh, come to the Savior so loving and true;
Behold, He is calling in tender compassion,
O brother, the Savior is calling for you.Refrain
Calling for you, calling for you,
Brother, the Savior is calling for you,
Calling, calling,
Brother, the Savior is calling for you.Oh, come to the Savior, for why will you wander?
This world and its pleasures no longer pursue;
Again He is calling: how can you reject Him?
O brother, the Savior is calling for you.Refrain
Away to the fountain, the life giving fountain,
Its soul cheering waters your strength will renew;
Then come while the day beams of mercy are shining,
O brother, the Savior is calling for you.Refrain
Away, for the shadows of night are approaching,
Then lose not His blessings that fall like the dew;
Still, still He is waiting and tenderly calling,
O brother, the Savior is calling for you.Refrain

All round the earth, what weary hearts are aching,
And heav’nward go what clouds of secret sighs;
What lonely, laden ones from sin are waking,
Turning to God, their eager, hungry eyes.Refrain
Heralds of Jesus, heralds of light,
Go where the lost are found;
Bind up each bleeding wound,
Go where the darkness is,
Drive back the night.Lo! ships are ploughing far, on every ocean,
And sails of traffic filled by every breeze;
When will God’s people, clothed with like devotion,
Send Gospel balm to bring the burdened ease?Refrain
Star of earth’s night, great Herald of the morning,
We see Thy sign glow in th’horizon there;
Fresh courage take, all pains and perils scorning,
And bring our gifts to Thee, with praise and prayer.Refrain
Lift Thou the shadows filling thick around us,
Lord, show Thyself, and lead Thy people on!
Break Thou the fetters that in sin have bound us,
And sin and sorrow shall from earth be gone.Refrain

I am trusting Thee, Lord, Jesus,
Trusting only Thee;
Trusting Thee for full salvation,
Great and free.I am trusting Thee for pardon;
At Thy feet I bow;
For Thy grace and tender mercy,
Trusting now.I am trusting Thee for cleansing
In the crimson flood;
Trusting Thee to make me holy
By Thy blood.I am trusting Thee to guide me;
Thou alone shalt lead;
Every day and hour supplying
All my need.I am trusting Thee for power,
Thine can never fail;
Words which Thou Thyself shalt give me
Must prevail.I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus;
Never let me fall;
I am trusting Thee forever,
And for all.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Ti 1:12] I Know My Faith Is Founded
I know my faith is founded
On Jesus Christ, my God and Lord;
And this my faith confessing,
Unmoved I stand upon His Word.
Man’s reason cannot fathom
The truth of God profound;
Who trusts her subtle wisdom
Relies on shifting ground.
God’s Word is all sufficient,
It makes divinely sure,
And trusting in its wisdom,
My faith shall rest secure.Increase my faith, dear Savior,
For Satan seeks by night and day
To rob me of this treasure
And take my hope of bliss away.
But, Lord, with Thee beside me,
I shall be undismayed;
And led by Thy good Spirit,
I shall be unafraid.
Abide with me, O Savior,
A firmer faith bestow;
Then I shall bid defiance
To every evil foe.In faith, Lord, let me serve Thee;
Though persecution, grief and pain
Should seek to overwhelm me,
Let me a steadfast trust retain;
And then at my departure
Take Thou me home to Thee
And let me there inherit
All Thou hast promised me.
In life and death, Lord, keep me
Until Thy Heav’n I gain.
Where I by Thy great mercy
The end of faith attain.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Ti 1:12] I Know Whom I Have Believed
I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.Refrain
But I know Whom I have believèd,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against that day.I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.Refrain
I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing us of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in Him.Refrain
I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
Before His face I see.Refrain
I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.Refrain

I know in whom my soul believes,
I know in whom I trust;
The Holy One, the merciful,
The only wise and just.Refrain
I know in Whom my soul believes,
And all my fears depart;
For though the winter winds may blow,
’Tis summer in my heart.I know the Sun of Righteousness
Illumes the path I tread;
And buds of hope that never die
Their balmy odor shed.Refrain
How sweet to walk obediently
With Christ my loving Lord;
And learn in simple, childlike faith
My duty from His Word.Refrain
I know in yonder mansion bright
For me there is a place;
And there with Jesus I shall wake,
And see Him face to face.Refrain
