2 Corinthians 6
- [2Co 6:2] And Can I Yet Delay?
And can I yet delay
My little all to give?
To tear my soul from earth away
For Jesus to receive?Nay, but I yield, I yield;
I can hold out no more;
I sink, by dying love compelled,
And own Thee Conqueror.Though late, I all forsake;
My friends, my all, resign;
Gracious Redeemer, take, O take,
And seal me ever Thine!Come, and possess me whole,
Nor hence again remove;
Settle and fix my wavering soul
With all Thy weight of love.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Co 6:2] Hasten, Sinner, To Be Wise
Hasten, sinner, to be wise!
Stay not for the morrow’s sun:
Wisdom if you still despise,
Harder is it to be won.Hasten, mercy, to implore!
Stay not for the morrow’s sun,
Lest thy season should be o’er,
Ere this evening’s stage be run.Hasten, sinner, to return!
Stay not for the morrow’s sun,
Lest thy lamp should fail to burn
Ere salvation’s work is done.Hasten, sinner, to be blest!
Stay not for the morrow’s sun,
Lest perdition thee arrest,
Ere the morrow is begun.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Co 6:2] Lo! Now Is Our Accepted Day
Lo! now is our accepted day,
The time for purging sins away,
The sins of thought, and deed, and word,
That we have done against the Lord.For He the Merciful and True
Hath spared His people hitherto;
Not willing that the soul should die,
Though great its past iniquity.Then let us all with earnest care,
And contrite fast, and tear and prayer,
And works of mercy and of love,
Entreat for pardon from above;That He may all our sins efface,
Adorn us with the gifts of grace,
And join us to the angel band,
Forever in the heavenly land.Blest Three in One and One in Three,
Almighty God, we pray to Thee,
That Thou wouldst now vouchsafe to bless
Our fast with fruits of righteousness.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Co 6:2] Lo! Now The Time Accepted Peals
Lo! now the time accepted peals
Its tidings of release;
A time that with salvation heals,
And to repentant tears reveals
The mercy seat of peace.Then let us wisely now restrain
Our food, our drink, our sleep;
From idle word and jest refrain
And steadfastly begin again
A stricter watch to keep.Now Heav’n-taught love will haste to rise
And seek the cheerless bed,
Where cold and wan the sufferer lies,
And Christ Himself to heedful eyes
Is hungering for bread.’Tis now that zealous charity
Her goods more largely spends,
Lays up her treasure in the sky,
And freely yields, ere death draw nigh,
To God the wealth He lends.Then consecrate us, Lord, anew,
And fire our hearts with love;
That all we think, and all we do,
Within, without, be pure and true,
Rekindled from above.Now fuller praise and glory be
To Thee, the First and Last,
And make us, blessèd Trinity,
More faithful soldiers, worthier Thee,
Through this our chastening fast.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Co 6:2] Sometime (hewitt)
A voice is heard in the dewy dawn,
And the call is sweet and low;
Come now, my child to the Shepherd’s fold,
Where the living waters flow;
But the gay heart answers in careless tones,
As light as the morning chime,
“Let me live for the world just a little while,
I will come to God—sometime!”Refrain
Beware! Beware! At the pearly gate
God may answer your sometime, too late! too late!
Beware! Beware! At the pearly gate
God may answer your sometime, too late! too late!The day is nearing the noontide glow,
And the voice is heard again,
It calls the soul to a nobler life,
’Tis a patient, kind refrain;
Enter now the Master’s broad harvest field,
In the strength of your early prime,
Come and bring to His work service good and true,
Still the same reply—“sometime!”Refrain
The feet are treading the western slope,
And the air is growing chill;
O can it be God is waiting yet,
That His voice is pleading still?
That He’ll flood with beauty the sunset sky,
Bright rays from the Golden Clime?
But the sinner long hardened, has turned away,
With the fatal word—“sometime!”Refrain
O soul, take heed, ere the shadows fall,
And the day of grace be past,
For how shall a trembling sinner stand
By the gates of death at last?
Hear the Savior’s call; at the Cross lay down
Thy burden of guilt and crime,
And the angels shall sing thee a sweeter song
Than the sad refrain “Sometime.”Refrain

While we pray and while we plead,
While you see your soul’s deep need,
While our Father calls you home,
Will you not, my brother, come?Refrain
Why not now? Why not now?
Why not come to Jesus now?
Why not now? Why not now?
Why not come to Jesus now?You have wandered far away;
Do not risk another day;
Do not turn from God your face,
But today accept His grace.Refrain
In the world you’ve failed to find
Aught of peace for troubled mind;
Come to Christ, on Him believe,
Peace and joy you shall receive.Refrain
Come to Christ, confession make;
Come to Christ, and pardon take;
Trust in Him from day to day,
He will keep you all the way.Refrain

Through good report and evil, Lord,
Still guided by Thy faithful Word,
Our staff, our buckler and our sword,
We follow Thee.In silence of the lonely night,
In the full glow of day’s clear light,
Through life’s strange windings, dark or bright,
We follow Thee.Strengthened by Thee we forward go,
’Mid smile or scoff of friend or foe,
Through pain or ease, through joy or woe,
We follow Thee.With enemies on every side,
We lean on Thee, the Crucified;
Forsaking all on earth beside,
We follow Thee.O Master, point Thou out the way,
Nor suffer Thou our steps to stray;
Then in the path that leads to day
We follow Thee.Thou hast passed on before our face;
Thy footsteps on the way we trace;
O keep us, aid us by Thy grace;
We follow Thee.Whom have we in the heaven above,
Whom on this earth, save Thee, to love?
Still in Thy light we onward move;
We follow Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [2Co 6:8] Through Good Report And Evil, Lord
