This saying ¹  is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.

The one who goes about slandering others ¹  reveals ²  secrets, but the one who is trustworthy ³  conceals a matter.

His acts are characterized by ¹  faithfulness and justice; all his precepts are reliable. ² 

This saying ¹  is trustworthy: ²  If we died with him, we will also live with him.

With regard to the question about people who have never married, ¹  I have no command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one shown mercy by the Lord to be trustworthy.

This saying ¹  is trustworthy: “If someone aspires to the office of overseer, ²  he desires a good work.”

Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.

And the king ¹  said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been faithful ²  in a very small matter, you will have authority ³  over ten cities.’

This saying ¹  is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” – and I am the worst of them! ² 

All your commands are reliable. I am pursued without reason. ¹  Help me!

He who calls you is trustworthy, and he will in fact do this. ¹ 

He must hold firmly to the faithful message as it has been taught, ¹  so that he will be able to give exhortation in such healthy teaching ²  and correct those who speak against it.

If then you haven’t been trustworthy ¹  in handling worldly wealth, ²  who will entrust you with the true riches? ³ 

And if you haven’t been trustworthy ¹  with someone else’s property, ²  who will give you your own ³ ?

Likewise also their wives ¹  must be dignified, not slanderous, temperate, faithful in every respect.

But you choose ¹  from the people capable men, ²  God-fearing, ³  men of truth, ⁴  those who hate bribes, ⁵  and put them over the people ⁶  as rulers ⁷  of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

His master answered, ¹  ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’
