Therefore, prophesy against them! Prophesy, son of man!”

My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.

When I please, I will discipline them; I will gather nations together to attack them, to bind them in chains for their two sins.

The Babylonian tyrant pulls them all up with a fishhook; he hauls them in with his throw net. When he catches them in his dragnet, he is very happy.

But he sternly ordered them not to make him known.

So Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.

The Lord was furious with Israel and handed them over to robbers who plundered them. He turned them over to their enemies who lived around them. They could not withstand their enemies’ attacks.

He saw them straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. As the night was ending, he came to them walking on the sea, for he wanted to pass by them.

(Now they did not know that Joseph could understand them, for he was speaking through an interpreter.)

The Lord raised up leaders who delivered them from these robbers.

Deliver your people! Empower the nation that belongs to you! Care for them like a shepherd and carry them in your arms at all times!

Nebuzaradan, the captain of the royal guard, took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.

Persia, Ethiopia, and Put are with them, all of them with shields and helmets.
