Even if they fast, I will not hear their cries for help. Even if they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. 1 Instead, I will kill them through wars, famines, and plagues.” 2
I will judge him with plague and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, his troops and the many peoples who are with him a torrential downpour, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
At once the bleeding stopped, 1 and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. 1 Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
They replied, “If you are going to send the ark of 1 the God of Israel back, don’t send it away empty. Be sure to return it with a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and you will understand why his hand is not removed from you.”
Gad went to David and told him, “Shall seven 1 years of famine come upon your land? Or shall you flee for three months from your enemy with him in hot pursuit? Or shall there be three days of plague in your land? Now decide 2 what I should tell the one who sent me.”
three 1 years of famine, or three months being chased by your enemies and struck down by their swords, 2 or three days being struck down by the Lord, during which a plague will invade the land and the Lord’s messenger will destroy throughout Israel’s territory.’ 3 Now, decide what I should tell the one who sent me.”
I will punish those who live in the land of Egypt with war, starvation, and disease just as I punished Jerusalem.
And they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Let us go a three-day journey 1 into the desert so that we may sacrifice 2 to the Lord our God, so that he does not strike us with plague or the sword.” 3
The priest must then examine it on the seventh day, and if, 1 as far as he can see, the infection has stayed the same 2 and has not spread on the skin, 3 then the priest is to quarantine the person for another seven days. 4
But if the priest examines the scall infection and it does not appear to be deeper than the skin, 1 and there is no black hair in it, then the priest is to quarantine the person with the scall infection for seven days. 2
Then the priest will command that the house be cleared 1 before the priest enters to examine the infection 2 so that everything in the house 3 does not become unclean, 4 and afterward 5 the priest will enter to examine the house.
